Biography

Leoluca di Leo, son of the late Rosario di Leo and Dorotea Orlando, marries Antonina Russo, daughter of Giuseppe Russo and Anna Macaluso, on 26 September 1784.^[1]

Leoluca and Antonina have at least three children: Rosario (c. 1786), Biagia (c. 1788), and Giuseppa (c. 1787-97).

I estimate Rosario is born within a few years of his parents marriage. He is named after his paternal grandfather.

Giuseppa is born in either 1787 or 1797, based on her reported ages at death.

I estimate Biagia is about twenty years old when she marries.

Biagia marries Francesco Pomara on 30 September 1807. Leoluca has died.^[2]

Rosario marries at least twice, first to Lucia Sciortino, on 25 September 1815.^[3]

Giuseppa marries Michelangelo Mannina on 29 September 1816.^[4] The original version of her parents' names is the correct one.

Rosario remarries to Paola Vernagallo on 30 March 1818.^[5]

Giuseppa, a resident of the quartiere di San Lorenzo, dies of dysentery at the reported age of 70 (b. 1797) on 6 October 1867 in a hospital in Corleone. (Her age is recorded as 80 in the church record.)^[6][7]
